Welcome Year 1 Golden LEAF Scholarship Recipients!

Congratulations on your Golden LEAF Scholarship. Being a recipient of this scholarship says something about you, your goals, work ethic, and desire to better yourself through education and hard work. The Golden LEAF Foundation believes in you and wants to see scholars gain an edge by getting real world work experience while in school, connect to a network of people working to improve rural NC, and develop leadership skills to reach your full potential. This is why the Golden LEAF Scholars Leadership Program was created.

As a Golden LEAF Scholarship recipient, you are invited to apply here for this exciting leadership development program. The skills and knowledge you develop through this program will apply throughout college, your career, and life!

The Golden LEAF Leadership Program awards a stipend of $2,860 to each participant who is accepted and completes the program requirements.

This is a competitive application process and requires a commitment to attend all events.

Opening Leadership Conference
January 23, 2021 (Virtual Conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic)

Program Coaching Calls
February through August 2021

Summer Internship Experience
May 2021 through August 6, 2021

Closing Leadership Conference
September 3 – September 5 (Labor Day Weekend)

ALL APPLICATIONS FOR 2021 MUST BE SUBMITTED BY

DECEMBER 11, 2020

This six week paid summer internship experience can flex around summer school schedules and can occur anytime between
May 2021 and August 6, 2021. Internships may exceed six weeks with program permission.

This unique program is only open to Golden LEAF Scholarship recipients.
